Can the church be a safe space for queer folks? This article explores the evolving relationship of queer people from the Indian subcontinent with the church - both as a source of faith as well as of community. In illustrating this story, I have drawn imagery from south Indian Christian customs such as the pesaha, as well as biblical images that represent love as struggle.
Mapping Murky Terrains of Desire
How do aromantic asexual folks navigate the mould of romantic and sexual norms? In illustrating this story, I have used the aro-ace flag colors as the prominent palette, while using various symbols of sexual/romantic intimacy as walling the protagonist into their loneliness.
